The Beginning & The End

Welcome to the first article ever published on From Quarks to Quasars. As the first article, this is also the post farthest back on the site.

So, it's the beginning and the end. And voilà! Now you know where the title of this article came from. If you found this article, it likely means one of two things

  1. You came to the site shortly after it went live, so finding the article was easy (Yay! Way to be one of the first!)
  2. You have no life and clicked through tons of pages to get here (Yay! Way to be dedicated!)

In either case, you deserve a reward. Now, I'd love to buy you a new car or maybe a futuristic house or trip to Mars. But the first two would bankrupt me, and the last one is impossible.

Note: This article was written in 2024. If you're reading this in the future and it is possible to buy a trip to Mars, I'm still not buying one for you. I know. Life is unfair. But it's probably best you learn this now. And honestly, be thankful you're just missing out on a trip to Mars and that something actually unfair isn't happening to you, like getting your head eaten by an axolotl or something. Those things are adorable (but vicious).

See. I told you. Terrifying.

Anyway, don't be sad, because you're going to get something even better than a car or house or a trip to Mars. Shoot me an email, and we'll make you your very own comic or drawing (wow wow wow). If you want me to get back to you faster, title the email "The Beginning & The End. " That way, I'll know it's not spam or people trying to get me to promote their NFTs or something (seriously, I get so many emails about people's NFTs. Sigh.)

Also, feel free to let me know if you'd like a specific drawing or have ideas about what you'd like to see in the comic. And if you want to be drawn into things, please be sure to include a picture of yourself. Also also, please note that we'll probably ignore your request and just draw a picture of you getting bitten by an axolotl or doing something weird, like bullying some penguins about their weight or something.

Hi, space friend

I've always felt a profound sense of awe when I look at the vast infinity of space. When did it all come from? Is there an end? Are we alone?
Ultimately, I believe humans have the scientific and technological capabilities needed to unravel these mysteries. That’s why I made it my mission to explain the science of everything — from quarks to quasars (and everything in between).
Here, help readers understand the wonders of the cosmos, one article at a time.
When I'm not lost among the stars, I channel my boundless energy into sprinkling my stardust on brands to help make them stellar. If you’d like to know more, the story continues…
